On 28 July 2026, Chicalim Sarpanch Kamla Prasad Yadav marked his birthday by launching the Gomati Foundation - named in memory of his mother - for education, healthcare and community development in Mormugao Taluka.
The Foundation was inaugurated by Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho in the presence of BJP Goa President Damu Naik, Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar, panch members and residents. A newly developed government school premises was dedicated, a free ambulance was flagged off, and complete education sponsorship for 10 students every year was announced.
The day also featured a blood donation camp and tree plantation under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.
